Wheat standing nicely before rain.
Wheat after hard wind driven rain is starting to lay down.
Residue flow looks nice and even with proper Gleaner pattern from pneumatic cleaning shoe.
Wane moved the A-B line 6 inches to the west from what was used in 2012 and that resulted in standing stubble to protect the young plants and shade the ground.
Old stubble is barely visible under the standing crop.
Even after harvest, the ground is still nicely shaded. Although wheat-stem sawflies weren't a problem this year, I believe having the old stubble in among the new would prevent many of the fly cut stems from hitting the ground and easy to salvage with the header.
