500 & EZ-Steer mounted
We removed the top part of the steering column and cut two 7 ½" long pieces of 1" angle iron that will be welded to the bottom bracket of this part of the column.
Angle irons welded and ready for drilling.
Top part of the column has been re-attached.
Because the angle irons are too far from the wheel, I had to use a short spacer to get the motor high enough. A piece of 4X4 seemed to fit the bill here. The T2 controller is mounted to the back of the cab wall.
¼" carriage bolts sandwich the wood block between the angle irons and the motor plate. The wood block also provides nice lateral support for the 500 display when it is mounted using a longer RAM Mount bar.
